[The feed starts and you see someone  – who looks male – staring at the screen. He (actually, she) has one wing on her back, and she looks a bit nervous.]

My name is Casablanca, I was recently brought to this place. I...

[a small frustrated frown comes to her face and she quickly puts her hands over her head] Augh! This is all wrong! I’m an angel, I’m not supposed to-! I shouldn't even be here! Isn't this kidnapping?! Who is the god in this place, they shouldn’t be allowing people to jump universes like this! Such irresponsibility!

[Please allow her to freak out for a second, she'll stop in a moment. With a sigh she touches her braid trying to figure out what to do. First things first: get to know those who might understand your position.]

Am I the only FORMER angel in this place?

Hello? Thief? Pretty boy? Orange-y girl? Are any of you there? Oh, it's rather odd being alone. I don't think I like being alone. I suppose I'm not really alone, but it feels like I'm alone, with no one I know being here. I suppose that should change soon enough.

[A lady who appeared to be from the 18thor 19th century based on her blue dress seemed to be pacing back and forth talking excitedly, if a bit concernedly into the video recorder.]

I suppose I'll not be alone for very long anyway, once I broadcast this since I suppose some of you people that respond will be... are? interesting and nice, and then I won't feel quite so alone.

[The feed turns on to Shirley already semi freaking out]

OH WOAH! WOAH WOAH WOAH!

Floating...I can float as a shield...BUT WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO GRAVITY?!

[She covers her face and groans into her hands. Finding out one of her weapon abilities creeped her out. Her eyes flint, and she notices the recording on the communicator]

ACK! How long has this thing been on?

[She pauses]

Uh, Hi? eh-hehe-hehehe-ugh.

[she face palms and cuts the feed]

[Shirley appears on the feed wearing a basic business attire which only helps make her look like a cross between a secretary and a school girl. She sighs lightly, leaning against the wall]

Everyone is rushing around and jumbling up. I guess it's what war is really like...

Listen, I'm a shield type weapon. Should anyone be able to use that, I will gladly partner with you for the coming raid. I just can't sit back and do nothing...especially after Halloween.

Call me back please.

[The feed cuts as she switches to private]

[[Private to Lelouch & Suzaku]]

Where are you guys? I haven't see you in a while and well, are you both alright? Can we meet up soon?
Please be safe.

The cruise sure sounds like fun! It even seems like more fun than the washtubs! Remember that, Lloyd? I am pretty sure I want to go. I wonder if Spirit will say Caramel can come too...Maybe I can take her to say hello to Dug sometime!

Who else is going?

Oh, it seems a lot of new people are here again, so hello! I'm Colette! It's nice to meet you all!

[Filtered to Shishito]

Hey, did you want to come too? It could be fun! And it's nice to do stuff together, right?

Mister Mustang? I won't be able to attend today's meeting, I'm sorry. I probably won't be available for tonight's shift either.

Could someone teach me how to filter on this device? Thank you.

This is NOT what I meant by learning to transform!

[the camera shows only a blank room, a single bed that is tidily made, and a chair that seems to have fallen over. There is definite rustling to be heard from behind the device]

O-oh crap! How in the heck do I get out of this form? Can anyone hear me?! Hey is the device on?

[there is a long pause followed by a groan]

I'm royally screwed....aren't I?

Um, the instruction manual says that it should be on....ah! Wait a minute!!!

[Shirley's face appeared over the live feed, her face looking somewhat apologetic and nervous.]

Um, Hello...

My name is Shirley Fenette and I guess I'm new here. I got the tour and stuff and er...well I guess this was the next step. Someone said I'm a weapon, although to be honest I haven't tried the whole transforming thing. Well I guess, that's it for now. hehe Oh boy...

[Towards the end of the day, when the sun starts to set, a possibly familiar voice can be heard. Seems she bumped her Communicator again? But this time what is overheard is not a prayer. It's a song, a little lullaby the Chosen is singing as she starts to get herself ready for the upcoming day:]

The wind, far away; the clouds, slowly
It is time for them to fade
Flowers bloom, and you rest
On the darkening land

The Sun, which blessed me,
Dyes red and sinks down
I wonder if I am dreaming
A gentle, gentle dream?

The birds, to the sky; the bugs, to the fields
All of them on the road home
The first star of evening has shone
So let's head home

To my warm house

October 14th.

Today is quite an auspicious day. It’s my birthday. [Pause. He appears troubled.] Wait, no, it can't be. I-I can't have birthdays anymore. So, it is more of an anniversary? No, that's not right, either.

I don't know. I don't know what this day means to me. [There is a moment of panic as he realizes what he is doing.]

I don't want to... I don't want to... [He lifts his head up, shaking it a few times.] I'm fine. I'm perfectly fine. It's just -- it's just I don't know what this day is. That's all. It's nothing to worry about! As soon as I figure it out, I'll be all right.

So, so, please, don't worry.

I'm fine. Yes, that's--

[Just drops the communicator to leave the room all together. It stays on and focused on the ceiling before shutting itself off after a set amount of time has passed.]

[As always, D is cheerful and polite. This time he is posting from the park, and you can clearly tell that he's got a blanket spread out under him. A leaf has ended up in his hair, as he's been laying back on the blanket to watch the sky. He's got the communicator sitting on a tree stump in front of him.]

Greetings, everyone! I do hope everybody managed to get their things back alright!

[He smirks, just for a second, and then it's gone. Maybe you didn't even notice it was there.]

As promised before, I am extending to those interested an invitation to tea tomorrow afternoon at four. I would kindly appreciate it if you would let me know here if you can make it so that I can properly prepare.

[D leans back on his elbows a little, still smiling.]

I was also wondering if anybody might be interested in going out and doing something together either today or at some point this week. I haven't been to see a movie in ages, or anywhere really interesting besides the mall.

Finally, I need to get a hold of those who said they were interested in baking lessons, but I can't figure out how to make private calls over the Demise. I would appreciate it if somebody could show me how to do it. [The face he's making is the face of somebody who's bad with technology - frustration, and a little embarrassment at having to ask for help are obvious on his face. He's the kind of guy whose computer probably crashes the second he walks into the room.]

Until then, though, could those of you who were interested please get in touch with me and let me know when you are available?

[He leans forward to turn off the Demise and goes back to laying on the blanket, looking up at the sky and the moon. That's some comfy grass you have there, Death City.]

Uu, it's very busy here. Lots of people everywhere, lots of strangers.. Have been walking around a lot first, but Maria can't find anyone from back home. No Mama, no Beato... Uu-. Beato probably had to stay at Rokkenjima either way, and Mama's busy with work, so maybe it's better without Maria..

... It feels sort of lonely. But Maria will wait to go home like a good girl. Will wait until Maria can see Mama again and have lots of fun and make lots of noise with everyone back home.

Maybe meet new people here? Let's not be strangers, everyone, uu! Maria is Maria, and one of the people said that Maria's a Weapon.. Sounds sort of scary, though.

[This one goes up first thing in the morning - like, 5:30 or so, before training. Have a dark-haired young chap with an eyepatch, dressed down in fatigues. He's in his usual position: leaning back against his office desk, ashtray close at hand, nursing a cigarette.]

Public;

I've had the pleasure of speaking to some of you already, but for those of you whom I haven't spoken with yet: my name is Roy Mustang. I'm a Meister here in Death City, partnered to Ryotaro Dojima. I also happen to be head of Death City's Office for General Security - we're in charge of the Watch.

A lot of you already know this, but I make it my business to get to know everyone: if they're Meisters or if they're Weapons, how much combat experience they have, what world they're from, and whatever else they feel like sharing. [A smile, swift but warm.] I do like information, just as much as I like sharing what I know. If you're up for talking, I'm up for listening.

On that note, should there be anything that you need to ask me, feel free. I've also linked two things to this post, for your own reference.

[And that's when the links come up: one to the Watch inbox and another to an old post he made.]

The first is admittedly a shameless plug - my group and I are always in need of new people, see. As such, if you want to help us out, sign up. If you have any security concerns, though, you're free to contact us there with your complaints.

The second is a compilation of notes I've taken on BREW - what it is, what it does, and the like. I have other lists in the works, but... [trails off with a rueful laugh.] let's just say that I haven't had the time to work on them all that much these days.

One last thing. A new batch tends to mean new disappearances. If there's anybody you know that appears to have gone missing along with their belongings, please let me know.

I think that's it for the moment. Thanks for your time.

[ Filter: The Watch ]

[Wokey, serious business time.]

Networking is everything, folks, so if you find any able-bodied folks among the newcomers, try and see if you can get them to sign up as well.

First: Have any of you guys met people from your worlds in this batch? If so, mind telling me who they are?

Second: I'm going to be redoing the shifts. [And he links the schedule for quick reference.] This is your chance to tell me if there are any changes that you'd like to make to the current set-up.

Third: I've contacted some of you about this already, but in case you didn't know: Date Masamune has gone missing. I'd like all of you to keep an eye out and see what you can find.

And before I forget: who's great at cooking, or knows somebody who is?

[ Filter : Shibusen & the Agency ]

[Aaaand another link.]

Maka Albarn and I had a rather interesting discussion on the network recently - I've linked it here for reference.

I feel it may be important if we try and pool together resources to form reconnaissance teams, or a group to study the patterns of behavior of witches and how their presence effects the environment of a particular area. It might help us preempt them in the future.

Thoughts?

ooc: I sort of... ended up handwaving Roy contacting the Zone Leaders and such because of the other posts on the comms, but I'd like to assume that it happened!

*Auron had needed a little extra time to get himself together. Not necessarily for the absorbing all the information on the tour or being told he was a MICE-ter, not MAY-ster, but just being alive again. He sat in his assigned free room in the Casualty...something, he'd missed the rest. He'd stretched out his new? old? body, putting it through its paces and found it fit and ready even though he was still down an eye. He felt confident enough to make a tentative post with this machina called a communicator.*

So I guess I'm not the only person who ended up here like driftwood pushed in by the tides. Does the machina in charge of bringing people here have any kind of pattern to who it brings or is it completely random?

Also, since we are at war, where do I go for training?

*He's not even surprised to be thrown into a situation like this. It's becoming a familiar pattern now.*

S-Shishito, I'm so sorry for worrying you the other day! I was out getting some things with Lloyd and--and the witches came and--and I'm sorry for worrying you but I promise I'll use some of the money I'm getting with my new waitress job to get us some ice cream or something, okay?

What does everyone think of the mission? Who's going? I know I want to help, if I can.

[Lloyd actually has the communicator working correctly this time. You should be impressed.]

Hi, my name's Lloyd! I haven't been here that long but I'm tired of sitting around without really being able to help people. I can't be the only one that feels like this, right?

First off, I'm a Meister. I'm pretty good with swords and I use two when I fight back where I come from. So, I'm gonna need two of you to be my Weapons! I know about the partnerships but the more people we have working together, the stronger we'll be. If we work hard enough we might even be able to go on this mission that's coming up.

We can talk about it on this thing if you're interested. I think that'd be easiest.

[ooc: Yes, he is being an idiot and I know this wouldn't really work XD. Also, he doesn't have to get a partner in time for the mission cause I think I'll be working on doing something like that for Ran Fan. I only have so much time, so there's really no pressure here.]
[identity profile] i-yukimura.livejournal.com
[When the camera flicks on, all that can be seen is a giant gloved hand on screen. Yukimura was doing pushups (the physical training helps him to stop thinking/worrying about Oyakata-sama okay?), and after he collapsed from exhaustion, he clearly underestimated how far he was from the table and knocked the communicator onto the floor.

He's aware it fell, but he's too tired to do anything but lift the hand lying in front of the camera to rest the back of his wrist over his eyes.

He wants to sleep, but the worry for his Lord plagues him, so he just lies there, trying to catch his breath. If you listen carefully, you can hear him speak, but he's never this quiet. Granted, he isn't actually talking to anyone so he doesn't feel the need to raise his voice but still.]

I must continue to burn, for the sake of returning to his side...

[Yes it's only been a week since his arrival in Death City, and thus far he's been pretty good about not letting his worry show when he's around others. At least, not to this degree.]
[identity profile] oopsnoclothes.livejournal.com
[ Since somebody arrived only a few hours ago in Death City, this somebody has been going around in nothing but his boxer shorts, the pendent he always wears, and a borrowed jacket from Spirit.

Now, you see this somebody glaring into the communicator as he makes the long and arduous trek to the mall to buy new clothes. His face is sweaty, and he's already shed away the borrowed jacket. If he had any more clothes on he'd be stripping them faster than the eye could see. In the background, random people are staring as he walks down the streets of Death City in his underwear. ]

Okay, this isn't funny. How hot is it out here, anyway? I'm dying, here.

[ Oh, the melodrama. He tries for the millionth time to force some Ice Make magic out of himself, fails, and laughs at the cruel irony that is his life, continuing on his way and switching the video feed off. ]
