[As one might have come to expect, Jules is relaxing indoors with a cup of tea (earl grey with vanilla this time). If you happen to have seen his old apartments, though, you might notice that it's different. He seems grim, perhaps, but still calm.]
Every time I dare to forget for an instant that we're in the middle of a war, somebody sees fit to remind me of it quite abruptly. I may have first been convinced of the witches' power when they sent the frogs, but it's the psychological attacks that are truly frightening.
[And he was only hiding in the corner of the church until the madness wavelength was over, miraculously avoiding the berserkers when he left! He missed the worst of it.]
But...
[Sip. This is how he thinks.]
But I believe that it was only a cruel assault, as usual, and we oughtn't take anything that happened as a reflection of our true selves. Things are well again -- as well as they can be -- and so we may as well forget about what happened. I know I've managed to, after the beauty of All Souls'. And that's really all I have to say at the moment.
[And then he remembers that's not true, and adds:]
On another note, Nanako and I, along with her father and his partner, have moved into a much more pleasant living space. If you're looking for any of us, we're in the Fatality Condominiums.
