[The video on the PDA flickers once or twice. A hand blocking the screen moves away to reveal a corner of blue sky and an extremely tired face. The face in question belongs to a young woman with short black hair. Naoto looks beat up, worn, as if she had just come out of a fight.]

Is...this on?

[She blinks at the screen a couple of times, hesitating a little bit more before plunging on.]

I'm sorry, but I won't fight your battles. That's something the people in this city should do. I have to do something back home and...I have to get back. I have to save them.

[A pause. Her face is darkening now and her mouth is set into a hard line.]

Please. Return my katana to me. Now.

[Naoto, on instinct, throws a quick suspicious look at the PDA. She knows that voice and it wasn't exactly making her feel warm and fluffy inside. The only thing making her pause was the...sheer impossibility.]

[That and what the hell was he doing away from Giovanni.]

...Heine?

[It really does rub her the wrong way. A part of her wants to hit the PDA, but it's not its fault. It's Heine's.]

About two thousand years ago, I guess.

[She is just so annoyed.]

[She looks around. The sand implies that there had been a storm, but she had arrived after it so-]

I saw Nill on this...PDA. [and mistook Lavi for Badou, but Naoto won't tell Heine that.]

She said that you've been taking care of her. [No accusation. She's just stating a simple fact.

[She frowns, having caught that. She's not suspicious quite yet, but why did Heine sound...]

Alright. You don't mind if I come visit her then.

[She 'hms' and is just about to cut that connection so she can hightail it over to Nill, but something's stopping her.]

...Did something happen?

Yeah.

What happened?

[If she was irritated before, now she's just pissed off. She also might be off searching for you Heine. ~~because she's a crazy katana stalker woman :(~~]

Will he articulate it to her you mean? Honestly, I doubt it XD;;; Heine's just... not that considerate or has that much patience. He just doesn't care about explaining things in general, but in this case he is actually not being as much of a jerk as he may be presenting it. To Heine, what happened (I'm assuming you know what has gone down in game events, if not adnjkandkankj I will certainly remedy that) is none of his business, so it's certainly not his place to give information about something that is not his business to someone else it isn't the business of.

Okay, got it. xD Naoto probably will keep that one-track mind because now she thinks something terrible happened to Nill (which I did see in the past events *s-sobs*). That and she's jumping to Heine to blame because his refusal to answer just makes her more nervous/irritated.

Since he won't tell her any time soon (or never)...and I assume that Badou doesn't know (but I'm not sure about that)...Naoto will probably question someone. Is it better for her to ask Nill or to ask someone else (and get the wrong impression and try to beat up Heine or no beating up I dunno)? I think the latter would be interesting, but I dunno. (because the former grants lots of emo time <3)

That's fine by me. I take pains sometimes to make sure Heine really isn't always clear in the things he says and that they could be misread; he's not meant to be sympathised with because he can be and really is a jerk a lot of the time X);;;

I wibbled hard at that plot and it should go without saying Heine is out for Adachi's blood. It is fair to assume that he won't be the one to bring it up but if Naoto finds out what happened and mentions it to him he can't stop her.

You're right in assuming Badou doesn't know yet since he only arrived a few hours before Naoto during the storm.

As far as who is better for Naoto to prod about what happened with Nill goes it's likely a good idea to prod Alley (Nill-mun) about it since really it's to do with Naoto's CR with Nill in this case and ripple effects that happen in terms of Naoto's opinion on Heine's handling should be a knock-on result and if it is a kind of fury from Naoto is totally fine for us to figure when it comes to it :)
