[The video on the PDA flickers once or twice. A hand blocking the screen moves away to reveal a corner of blue sky and an extremely tired face. The face in question belongs to a young woman with short black hair. Naoto looks beat up, worn, as if she had just come out of a fight.]

Is...this on?

[She blinks at the screen a couple of times, hesitating a little bit more before plunging on.]

I'm sorry, but I won't fight your battles. That's something the people in this city should do. I have to do something back home and...I have to get back. I have to save them.

[A pause. Her face is darkening now and her mouth is set into a hard line.]

Please. Return my katana to me. Now.

[there's a small sigh. pause.]

You have a war at home, aru? Is that it?

[Naoto, on instinct, throws a quick suspicious look at the PDA. She knows that voice and it wasn't exactly making her feel warm and fluffy inside. The only thing making her pause was the...sheer impossibility.]

[That and what the hell was he doing away from Giovanni.]

...Heine?

[Surprise then - it wouldn't hurt telling that piece of information about herself so-]

Yes.

... What was it over?

[And here she pauses because she's not exactly sure herself. Why did Giovanni attack the city?]

[Then bitterly]...Someone thought it would be funny.

[Naoto! Naoto's here now! So many people Nill cares about seem to be showing up lately... The fact that she sounds upset doesn't stop her from flailing on the other end of the feed, though.]

[D'awww! Naoto just blinks in surprise for a long time.]

...Nill?!

To start a war? [miffed-sounding, a bit disbelieving.] Then why does it continue to go on?

[Nill nods, waving. Ohh, she missed you. For the first time in a while she's smiling truly.]

It just started.

[The smile proves that it's real, it's the real Nill smiling at her, not crying from fear like the last time. Shock, but relief sets in.]

Are you safe?! I thought - the bombs - Where are you? Is anyone else with you?

[Questions questions. Naoto had plenty of those and she fails to remember that Nill won't be able to answer them for a few seconds.]

[W-what. Naoto reads it silently. The fact that he sent this to her probably implied that she wasn't going to be able to go anywhere any time soon.]

[...Safe? Well.. now, she guesses. Unless Adachi comes after her again- Trying not to frown, Nill turns on the text option and before long, letters start appearing under the video stream.]

I have been staying with Heine. He is gone now, though. Are you still at Shibusen?

[slight pause.] I did not make it - you should thank Kujikawa and Lavi, aru.

What they say in that are the facts.

Heine. Has he been looking after you? [Because if he wasn't, Naoto would punch him in the jaw.] I'm at Shibusen.
