Technically, I don't have a name.

My names were given to me by my agency, so people could address me as something. I go by them, but if I had to change them, I would without a fuss.

Names are usually how you're addressed by those around you. At least where I'm from, they're usually given to you by your parents. Sometimes those names have particular meaning to the person who gave it to you and often that meaning transfers to the person whose name it is, but I don't suppose that they really have inherent meaning.

They have as much meaning as you give to them. Sometimes people change their names if they truly don't like their given one. I don't think that I'd ever change mine though. They can be quite important if the person in question values it enough.

Well, my first name is Steven, and if I'm not mistaken that comes from the Greek word for crown. My parents picked that for me, and I also inherited my last name - Rogers - from them.

My other name, though, is one...I didn't choose it, but I chose to bear it. And it's a symbol of the American Dream.
