[Because, it is only fair to give fair warning to the new people that have arrived about his presence, is it not? Perhaps some of them will be rather pleasant and would make good company. So here you go Death City, and more importantly you knew inhabitants, you are now seeing video of a considerably-sized dragon in his apartment, tail languidly swishing from side to side.]

To all the new residents of Death City, greetings.

By now I trust that you all know what role you are able to take should worst come to worst, which is a very real threat in this world. It might seem a far-off threat, but those of us that have lived here for a considerable amount of time know that it is still very, very real.

If you have not jumped back or turned your off for fear of me, then I commend you. My name is Temeraire, and while I may be a dragon, it does not mean that I will randomly attack any one person in this city.

I am a part of the Watch which means that I am here to protect everyone in my patrol area, so rest assured that I will never mean you any sort of harm... for the most part.

If you have any questions, I would be glad to answer them to the best of my abilities. Until then, I hope that you will make the best of your circumstances while you are here.

Are...there many good dragons where you come from? I mean no offense, but I've never heard of that before.

[This gets him to look at the camera quizzically. Aside from Lien, he does not think that there really are any "bad" dragons.]

What do you mean with a "good dragon," young miss? Where I am from, we are numerous.

[Here, he pauses.]

Well, not my particular breed... but dragons as a whole entire race cannot be said to be either good or bad, as much as anyone can say that a human can be good or bad. It would be silly to think otherwise, would it not?

Oh, yes. I think that makes very much sense. [ she nods a little bit, just trying to understand. ]

Where I come from, dragons are usually considered to be... quite evil. But I believe they are also quite rare.

Perhaps it is only because people in your world might not have treated dragons properly that they might react negatively. It is for self preservation, much like any one person would fight for their personal well-being if it is threatened.

I am only sorry that they are considered to be evil in your world, miss, for where I am we work closely with humans for the most part. As for rarity -- I think I have come to expect that they would be rare enough in other worlds, or not exist at all.

[Is that a slightly sad, disappointed timbre in his voice you might have heard~?]

I'm afraid I don't really know, but of course you could be right. [ if only he knew about Maleficent... ]

Work with humans? For what purpose, if I may ask?

[ she takes not of that subtle change in his voice and gives him a kind smile. ] Well I for one am very glad that I was able to meet one, anyway. Especially one so polite.

At least, I am thinking about dragons in my own world. I am not sure how it might be in other worlds, but at least that is how it is in my experience.

Most dragons that have relationships with humans work in different means. I am personally part of the British Aerial Corps back home, fighting in wars alongside my Captain and my crew, as well as other wingmates. In China, dragons are also part of the army, but they also are part of the Imperial civil service. There are also other dragons that work in transport, and several more still that work in courier routes and deliver mail.

I am quite glad to meet someone that is rather open-minded about dragonkind, even if they might have had a negative experience with one beforehand.

Oh my, that's very interesting! You must be very proud of your work?

[ she smiles a little bit. ] Oh I'm not used to meeting so many different kinds of people and dragons and things. So I'm very curious.

It is quite interesting. While I was not in China for most of my life, I am quite glad of the work I did with the military.

There are a fair amount of different sorts of people here in Death City, and they are quite pleasant for the most part. Some... leave much to be desired, but otherwise it is quite nice.

I'm glad, then. I don't know much about the military or far off places...I spent most of my life so far in one place.

Oh, yes, most everyone I've met here so far has been very kind. Though some are a bit strange.
