So! After everything that happened, and. Uh. With the hands sticking thing...

[She looks distinctly uncomfortable, her legs folded under her as she sits on her bed with a little frown.]

Anyway, I thought that maybe I could find a partner for that mission, yeah? I'm a Weapon and I mean. Uh.

[Stops and finally blows out a frustrated breath of air.]

I didn't really like it, but I turned into one of my binding rods, yeah? So maybe someone out there knows how to fight using a rod, so I guess that's what I'm letting everyone know! Even if I really, really didn't like it...

But you have to promise not to throw me at something! Because partnerships are all about trust, yeah? And that's important to me, especially after everything that happened with those sand things.

Well, uh, this guy threw me at those sand monsters, and then I turned into my weapon form!

Threw you at sand monsters? While you were in human form? [D:] Who was it?

Um, it was some guy? His name is Hirato!

That's not very nice of him. [DDDDD:] I've only ever been thrown in weapon form, so I don't really know what it feels like to be thrown while you're in human form, but I imagine that it must be more disconcerting for the weight differences.

Yeah, it was! Our hands were glued together or something, yeah? So he just goes and picks me up and throws me at them with our hands stuck together anyway!

[blink] And you changed in mid-swing?

In mid throw!

While your hands were still stuck together?

Uh huh!

Hm.

[pause]

Does that mean you two are compatible?

I hope not! We didn't really stay together after that.

Oh. Well, I'm glad to hear that you weren't affected negatively by that experience, at least.

Negatively like I don't want to really do it again?

You said that you're a--binding rod? How should you be wielded, then? [if not thrown]

Well, with a binding rod, there are these wires, yeah? And you throw them out, and they hook into the enemy, and then you reel them in and attack them!

Then you're going to have to find a meister who'd know to use such a weapon properly.

I thought a binding rod was a lot more common, yeah? It's weird that it's not!

I can maybe think of a couple of similar grappling weapons, but it's not a very common object, at least not in my world.

Some people say it's kind of like a fishing rod. I guess it is a little bit, yeah?

It does. Perhaps you could describe your form as such when you're looking for a meister. Something like a fishing rod, but specialized for battle?

You think that would work?

Well... saying "binding rod" makes me think of an electric baton. But your true function might appeal to meisters who prefer close-quarter combat.

I'm not certain, of course. [sheepish grin] Saying fishing rod, on the other hand, makes me think of one of my friends. He used to carry a fishing rod around with him.

An electric baton... [Says this thoughtfully, thinking about it.] I guess so! I should look for someone who doesn't mind getting up close and personal to the enemies, yeah?

[Smiles at that.] A real fishing rod? My friend, Fang, she wouldn't ever use a fishing rod. She would use a spear!

[nodding] You reel the enemy in, your meister punches their lights out. It's almost like how my friend fought--yes, he used a real fishing rod. He's really accurate with it, too.

I think it sounds like a good thing! I'm pretty accurate with my binding rod, so he must be really good at that!
