So! After everything that happened, and. Uh. With the hands sticking thing...

[She looks distinctly uncomfortable, her legs folded under her as she sits on her bed with a little frown.]

Anyway, I thought that maybe I could find a partner for that mission, yeah? I'm a Weapon and I mean. Uh.

[Stops and finally blows out a frustrated breath of air.]

I didn't really like it, but I turned into one of my binding rods, yeah? So maybe someone out there knows how to fight using a rod, so I guess that's what I'm letting everyone know! Even if I really, really didn't like it...

But you have to promise not to throw me at something! Because partnerships are all about trust, yeah? And that's important to me, especially after everything that happened with those sand things.

...Yeah? [Gives a small smile.] I...I didn't think it was something to be proud of, yeah? It was pretty scary!

I think so, especially under the circumstances you were in. Transforming might become a routine thing eventually, but doing it the first time is an accomplishment.

If it becomes a routine thing...[Pauses for a moment.] Well, uh, I don't know, yeah? I haven't tried to transform beside that one time!

I meant... hopefully there aren't so many circumstances where you'll need to transform. I was saying that in time and practice the process will be easier and less stressful.

I hope there aren't more times, because that means less fighting, yeah? [But she sighs and shakes her head.] I dunno about that, though. But practice would be good! If I can learn and everything, then it won't be so scary when I have to do it for real, yeah?

Fewer attacks might be too much to ask for when we're in the middle of a war, I suppose.

That's right. It's an age-old saying, but it's true. Practice makes perfect.

How are you doing, aside from the witch attacks?

Maybe a little! [But she still smiles at that and she looks down and away from the screen.]

I've been okay! It's different, getting used to this place again, yeah? First time I was here, three of my friends were here. Hope is still here, but the other two went back home. I miss them, but I'm glad they're home, yeah?

[Looks back up and smiles.] What about you? How are you doing?

That's right, you've been here before. It takes time for a newcomer to adjust to being in Death City. I'd imagine it's odd having to readjust after being home for a while. I'm glad you're doing all right, though. It's unfortunate you can't see your two friends here anymore, but at least they're somewhere more familiar.

I didn't know Hope was your friend.

That's what I like to think, yeah! [Smiles.]

Mhm! Hope is my friend from back home, but he's more then that. He's like...he's like family, you know? We've been through a lot together!

It's nice to have someone you know so well with you. I haven't met Hope, but a girl I spoke to over the network said she and he would be trying out a partnership. Your mention of him reminded me of that.

[Hope and a girl? Oooh, Hope and a girl. Thank you for this information, Noa. Thank you, thank you, thank you.]

He didn't tell me that! I guess I'm going to have to bother him about it, yeah? [Laughs.]

Oh. Maybe he has been hard at training and wanted to make sure the partnership worked before saying anything about it. I'm sure he wouldn't keep it from you out of ill will, if you're as close as you are.

He's probably just embarrassed about it! He can get like that sometimes, but it's okay, yeah? He'll tell me about it eventually.

I'm sure he will, since the two of you are friends. Is he a shy person?

He was at first, but I think he's really opened up!

Well, I don't want to brag, yeah?

[Laughs and grins, though, shaking her head slightly.] I think everyone did.

Oh, so you do know how to be modest. Really, it's nice to be able to help out a friend like that.
