[The screen flickers on, showing Kamina's tan grinning face. He is sitting criss-cross underneath the shade of a large oak tree probably somewhere in the park. He looks up to the grinning sun and wipes his brow, obviously feeling the heat like everyone else. The wound wrappings on his chest were stained with dark sweat spots.]

Hey death city, its fricken hot out!

[He sighs. Usually this weather never seemed to affect him back home. The sudden change from his life living in a cool dirt hole to the sweltering battlefield above didn't bother him so much. He fought and fought and never seemed to have a bead of sweat on him. Now, however, the weather of Nevada's desert seemed to get the best of him.]

I'm looking for a doc. named Stein, heard he could help me. I need some questions answered about my role in this world. Answer as soon as you can, i want to find a partner and start kicking asses!

[Kamina lets out a loud laugh. He then reaches down and tugs on his wrappings]

Dammit, these things are itchy...Kamina out.

[He reaches for the communicator and turns it off]

Heh, its a good thing i have all of those qualities for a manly and powerful soul. I've shown its power in the past though fighting spirit, crushing all my foes with my mighty Gurren. I don't think i'll have any problem with this madness thing, i have no fears!

[a small sweat drop falls down his face...he had one thing to fear]

It's good that you're that confident about your resolve. It should aid you well in soul resonance. But first you need to find a partner who'll be compatible with your soul wavelength.

[nods]

I think i should wait a bit on the partner. I have a partner already. He's my brother, and knowing this BREW thing is taking people at random times, he might just be here soon. We were the best team on my world, so i think my soul and his would be burning with such a powerful manly passion of fighting spirit, that we would blow away anyone in our way!

[laughs]

[Blink. It's not often that a guest would easily accept all this talk about souls and fighting, even rarer to come across someone so unconcerned about his own situation and so confident that the other soul he's most compatible with is somewhere out there and will be coming in soon.

But she supposes that there are lots of different types. This is a lot easier to handle than guests who scoff at the school's precepts and efforts, after all.]
