[ voice >> video ]

[ There’s a bit of scrabbling, like someone has dropped the communicator and is trying to pick it up. And failing a little. ]

Oh. Ow. Hey ...

[ When the video turns on, a second later, the viewers can get a good view of a table. And then slowly the communicator is lifted up and turned around. A young boy, an elementary schooler!?, gives a sort of sheepish smile and a left handed wave. ]

Sorry, that was a lot of dead time. Uh, I'm new. . . I'm not sure there's really a proper greeting for this scenario . . .

I'm Kuronuma Aoba. It's nice to meet you?

Anyone can go. They cover everything from beginners to advanced in fighting, Soul Resonance, how to transform, and how to use whatever weird weapon you've landed yourself with. Ah, there's hot breakfast too.

Magical alternate universe batoru school. Training's in the park, though. Classes are held at Shibusen.

Stuff about how this world works, mostly. Ah, like. Did they tell you weapons eat souls?

[identity profile] rabukidastrophe.livejournal.com 2010-09-25 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
The goal of a meister is to train a weapon up to becoming a Deathscythe. They have to eat the souls of 99 kishin eggs and one witch's soul for the 100th. Then I guess they get a magical transformation or something? Deathscythes are supposed to be a lot stronger.

Ah, that's what they usually do around here though. With the war I think everyone is just focused on fighting and surviving.

...it's definitely actually dangerous. But about six of seven days a week nothing terrible happens.

[V. REASSURING NO?]

Ah, and there's some dangerous people you should avoid. But otherwise it's like Ikebukuro! Beautiful women, weird foreigners, the occasional Dullahan. Just keep your head down when fighting happens and you'll probably have a good time otherwise.

[Looocked]

It's like highschool, there's a few bullies, but I don't think they're really that dangerous. Or if they were, they've lost their super powers now and are getting their kicks by picking on redheads. But ah, you're better off just never being noticed by Roshia-tan or his partner Kyuba-tan. Roshia's huge, blond, always wears a scarf and is completely nuts. He'll try and get you to join his 'house'. The other country-tans are all trying to deal with him.

And Orihara Izaya is always a great guy to never, ever talk to. I don't see him around much, but since you're from Ikebukuro he might appear.

Unfortunately.

[Sigh]

A cute kouhai shouldn't be exposed to such criminal minds. It's best to just not talk to him. Anyway, that's pretty much all I got. No doubt there's other bad apples, but most people want to go home, so they're working with Shibusen anyway.

Because the only way to get back, as far as we know, is for the war to end. If not for that, everyone would probably just scatter.

Some people might stick around looking for a way back. But I bet a bunch would just accept this new world and go start their own lives.
