MELSTONE AND WINNETT OUT OF DANGER

The state of emergency declared last January 13th, 2010, was finally lifted from Melstone and Winnett today following a kishin egg invasion on the 13th. Melstone and Winnett are both small towns in neighbouring counties of Montana.

Early on the 13th, the Melstone and Winnett local government offices were informed that groups of kishin eggs were approaching their borders with an apparent intent to invade. Evacuation measures were immediately taken and Shibusen was immediately called to protect the civilians while evacuation was underway.

Shibusen response was quick and agents from its Death City branch, primarily comprised of the ‘BREW guests’, took a stand in both towns on the 13th. Both towns were successfully defended and most of the kishin eggs eliminated due to the decisive action of these Shibusen agents and the towns’ cooperation.

Melstone suffered moderate damage from the attacks, as well as the death of 20 of its 136 population. Winnett sustained minimal damage and lost seven of its 185 population. Spirit Albarn, Deathscythe of North America, was present in Winnett and joined the ensuing fight despite the apparent lack of a meister.

Montana governor Brian Schweets has announced that all assistance will be given to Melstone and Winnett for recovery. Members of Shibusen’s agents are currently sweeping the towns’ vicinities for remaining kishin eggs.

[Today's temperatures will be 61/39F (16C/4C).

Good job, everyone! Hopefully not that many of you got injured in the defense of both towns, but if there are any stragglers, they're welcome to go see the medics in the latest training log. How about the newcomers who couldn't go because they don't have partners yet? You can check out the pResonance activities, also being held during morning training. You might find your partner somewhere in there.

A reminder to those who haven't posted to the activity check yet: you might want to get to it before your name gets put on the danger list. For those who are having trouble accessing or working with LJ, you can also email the mods with your proofs via soulcampaign@gmail.com.

New arrivals are starting to get boring.

[Curled up on her couch, Lili yawns. She just got home from work, evidently, as she's still wearing the frilly maid costume from the cafe. Her words are harsh, but she looks cheerful, all the same.]

It used to be fun, trying to see how quickly I could scope out the interesting ones from the rest. But it's the same process every time. It's too easy. The too-trusting and the too-obedient start looking for a partner immediately, the stupid start demanding to be taken home, and the weak mope about, expecting us to feel sorry for them.

If anyone has something more to offer, I'll make your effort worth it. I promise.

[Gabriel Cunningham is outside right now, smoking a cigarette, looking rather cranky.]

Alright, so what exactly is the the point of sending me home to just keep driving a truck. And then bringing me back.

At least let me park the damn thing.

[He's about to open his mouth again, but then from outside of the screen, a toy school bus hits him on the head. Followed by a rock that flies in front of his face.]

...Okay, what the hell is up with this place?!

[Locked to Masaru]

Where's my coffee?

[Here, have a green alien frog sitting all business-like in what looks like some kind of shop.

Keroro figured that his last ad was probably completely overshadowed by what happened afterwards, seeing as there wasn't really an increase in customers or anything...BUT! Failure is not an option, not even if this was originally just a front for him to import Gundams for himself.

He clears his throat, before steepling his fingers and resting his elbows on the counter.]

Ahem. I realize it's been a few days, but I want to extend my welcome to all of the newcomers to Death City. [Even though not one of you is Char Aznable. He knows. He checked.]

I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Sergeant Keroro, and I am the new owner of Metokkori, now Metokkori R. It's located on the third floor of the building situated between the cinema and the pet store. I think it's just me and Eve-dono working there currently, but we sell lots of Japanese goods like food and Gunpla, so please come and take a look, de arimasu. If there is something you want that we don't have, I can even order it for you, de arimasu. For a fee, of course. But everything is up for negotiation, de arimasu. [Not really. But he'll make it sound like it's for negotiation, when really you'll probably end up paying more. And he'll even tell you it's a bargain.]

Ah, and if there are any workers that used to work for Honda-dono, please report in to me as well, de arimasu. [Because he's not signing off paychecks for people he hasn't met.]

New workers are welcome too, of course~!
