MELSTONE AND WINNETT OUT OF DANGER
The state of emergency declared last January 13th, 2010, was finally lifted from Melstone and Winnett today following a kishin egg invasion on the 13th. Melstone and Winnett are both small towns in neighbouring counties of Montana.
Early on the 13th, the Melstone and Winnett local government offices were informed that groups of kishin eggs were approaching their borders with an apparent intent to invade. Evacuation measures were immediately taken and Shibusen was immediately called to protect the civilians while evacuation was underway.
Shibusen response was quick and agents from its Death City branch, primarily comprised of the ‘BREW guests’, took a stand in both towns on the 13th. Both towns were successfully defended and most of the kishin eggs eliminated due to the decisive action of these Shibusen agents and the towns’ cooperation.
Melstone suffered moderate damage from the attacks, as well as the death of 20 of its 136 population. Winnett sustained minimal damage and lost seven of its 185 population. Spirit Albarn, Deathscythe of North America, was present in Winnett and joined the ensuing fight despite the apparent lack of a meister.
Montana governor Brian Schweets has announced that all assistance will be given to Melstone and Winnett for recovery. Members of Shibusen’s agents are currently sweeping the towns’ vicinities for remaining kishin eggs.
[Today's temperatures will be 61/39F (16C/4C).
Good job, everyone! Hopefully not that many of you got injured in the defense of both towns, but if there are any stragglers, they're welcome to go see the medics in the latest training log. How about the newcomers who couldn't go because they don't have partners yet? You can check out the pResonance activities, also being held during morning training. You might find your partner somewhere in there.
A reminder to those who haven't posted to the activity check yet: you might want to get to it before your name gets put on the danger list. For those who are having trouble accessing or working with LJ, you can also email the mods with your proofs via soulcampaign@gmail.com.
The poll for deciding the timeline for the move to Dreamwidth is now closed, and here is the first of the posts you can read for information and help with moving your journals.
