There is something that I would like to ask: Is it honestly important to celebrate a person's birth? I do not believe I have been able to be a party to such an event, neither back home nor in this city. I have heard about it however, and think it an interesting concept.
Perhaps I may not have witnessed it due to the fact that I have been in the midst of war back home and in this world. That is something that I have thought about.
[He pauses, looking thoughtful]
That aside, I also think it might not be all that special to most dragons back home. I have not heard of a special hatching-day celebration for dragons at all. It might be rather silly, to think of oneself on the day of their hatching. I recall every moment of it quite well. I even know when I will turn what age, so I suppose it might not be as necessary for us dragons if we are able to do that much. At least, that is the rationale I am offering, if any of you were wondering.
I am only rather curious about it, and would like to learn more from people this time around, than from a book more because I already have read up about it. That it is a social convention is a given, though what are your personal thoughts and feelings about the issue is what I would like, and I hope that several of you out there would be willing to oblige and answer as best as you can.
Thank you.
