[Rei looks tired. Very tired. The rain is dragging up bad memories Rei really doesn't need and making her nightmares worse. Which means, of course, less sleep.

She doesn't speak, halfway through deciding to make a post her exhausted mind turned to something else and she's idly sorting through old photographs she'd had from her world. Some of them are pretty damn disturbing.

And, she's singing. It's a quiet, creepy lullaby, but you can still hear the words as she half-mumbles them.

Rei seems pretty out of it though, so feel free to jog her from her daze.]

[There is no good reason for the video feature to be on in this darkness, but Gilbert is not so good with your alien, advanced technology, Death City. And so you have shadows shifting on shadows and the vaguely visible silhouette of a person, curled on what might be a bed or a couch. It may look - though it's so hard to tell, in this light - as if the figure were shivering.

The breathless shake in Gilbert's voice pretty much confirms that:]

It's been too long since I was able to go out in the rain. I ought to have gone while it was still day out -- it's cold, now -- but it's nice. It's lovely on its own, having all the city lights gone for now, and just the rain...

[Gilbert is sounding dreamier and looser-tongued than usual, and there's the beginnings of a yawn as he leans in closer to the communicator. His features come vaguely into view from its screen's light.]

...Does anyone staying in the Communal keep candles on hand? I'd like to be able to see my way around my room, until I fall asleep. I can come to get them.

That's been an interestin' little bit, ain't it? Storm, things goin' missin'. For a war, you guys sure are excitin'.

So, lookin' for a couple things.

Kinda hopin' to get a partner soon. It ain't really my style to just stand around and do nothin'.
