I know it sounds a little redundant, but Halloween is coming up. I don't really remember ever doing anything for this holiday. It always seemed more of a Western holiday then anything else, actually.

[Pauses.] But the idea of free candy is pretty appealing. I can see how it transferred over to other places, especially the idea of costumes. Pretty unsurprising that a place called "Death City" would have a bunch of costumes for a holiday just like this.

Actually...the original idea for this holiday was to communicate with spirits, right? Does anyone else here celebrate Halloween in a different way? [Smiles slightly.] It's not all costumes and candy for people; anyone out there have a different take on this holiday? I'd love to hear it if you do.

[GREETINGS, FRIENDS. WV is sitting in his living room. He is surrounded by pumpkins. Some of them look like they've been chewed on (they have been). Some of them look like they're getting a little rotten (they are- best time to eat them is when they're rotten!!!). Some of them...are hemorrhaging their innards. You probably don't want to look at those. HOW INDECENT.]

Well, life in Death City- such a preposterous name -has certainly been interesting thus far. It is rather nice to be part of civilization, in spite of the inevitable woes and bothers that stem from said civilization. [Speaking of, he begins to chew idly on a pumpkin stem for a moment before he catches himself. DON'T BE RUDE NOW, MR. MAYOR. PEOPLE ARE WATCHING.] In any event, I enjoyed myself immensely on the cruise.

...But I should like to make myself a bit more useful around the city, however. I am still searching for a suitable Weapon!

Ah, before I forget- what is the significance of costumes on this 'Halloween' I keep hearing about?

Hn. I’ve only been here for a few days and already I’ve accomplished so much.

[He idly tosses the knife in his hand repeatedly, not even paying attention to it.]

I encountered Him, I was reunited with my favorite troublesome brother, I’ve made acquaintances with an old memory, I escaped the hospital and Dr. Watson’s experimentations, scared ShinRa and his lapdogs into hiding, and rekindled an old hatred.

[Catches the knife abruptly in midair and stares right into the camera, gloating]

I have been busy, haven’t I? Don’t worry, I want out of here as much as all of you [waves the knife towards the camera] want me gone. During the wait I am entitled to have some fun, aren’t I? Ha! If only Yazoo and Loz where here.
