TM 26/ earthquake

[So many friends had left so suddenly, with no warning at all. It...was a bit frightening. Just to think that something so jarring could happen within the blink of an eye. Yeah, Ash figured, he'd had to say goodbye to a lot of friends back home. Some he'd known for only a few days and still others had been really important to him. It hurt, like always, when a friend left but somehow...that small knowledge that he would most likely never see his Death City friends ever again. That just made things worse. It felt like these people had actually died- which was dumb he realized, because they were probably a good deal safer in their worlds then fighting a war without powers they were used to.
He couldn't stop the train of thought, why was this all so different from back home. He had spent the days since Italy and Laura had vanished trying to figure it all out. What made this hurt just that little bit more? He'd said goodbye to..that was it. That was what was making this all seem so much worse.
BREW hadn't let him say goodbye...
