[ There's rustling on the other end of the communicator, almost like fabric rubbing against something, but no sight of Botan. ]

Oh, shoot! You've got to be kidding me... and to think it was holding up so well, too.

[ Botan finally comes into view, a troubled expression on her face. ]

Would -- would anyone happen to know how to sew? Or where to find a new outfit? [ She holds up the torn sleeve of her kimono with a sheepish grin. ] I seem to have had a little accident, you see.

Hey, Shishito.

Did you want to come to the show Pepper is organizing? Shibusen is paying for tickets, and it looks like fun. We can go together, if you wanted. What do you think?

Oh, and hello everyone! It seems there are a lot of new arrivals again, huh? I'm Colette, Colette Brunel. I hope you're all settling in well and adjusting to the situation.

[the video flicks on for a split second as it usually does before itachi switches it to voice. the more his vision deteriorates, the harder it is for him to work this stupid thing]

I find that too much time spent in my apartment grows tiresome. As does training.

[there is a pause. he's not sure why he's bothering with this, but he's bored]

I suppose I am inquiring about those of you who have been here for a while; do you live as if you are stuck here- building relationships and getting jobs? Or do you feel you are merely waiting to go home..?

If you have somewhere to go back to, I mean.

[The feed turns on to show Jules sitting at a table of what you might recognize as a corner of Deathbucks. Unfortunately, he didn't make any effort to point it toward his face, so it's getting more of a view of his hands, a muffin, and a flowery teacup and saucer -- his own; the disposable one that his tea came in has been discarded. He picks it up to take a sip before speaking, and if you could see his face, he'd be grimacing.]

It's September now. I do wonder when it will be cooling down; I don't know how the natives here handle the is absurd heat, although I suppose that's the purpose of artificial cooling systems. Either way, it's ridiculous.

[One might note the irony of somebody complaining about the heat while wearing dress pants and a button-up shirt and sipping hot tea, but Jules seems to feel that it's like a normal enough thing to be doing.

So he picks up the teacup again, takes another sip, and coughs.]

It really is disgusting to taste what they try to pass off here as tea. I'm not entirely convinced that what is in these little bags is really tea leaves, nor that the bags themselves don't ruin the taste. [sigh] I didn't realize how easy it was to find good tea at home until I was sent here, where the only quality blends are only to be found in the most obscure shops. Some of the people at Lacomblade wouldn't even agree to drink this... warm, tea-esque water.

[A pause, as he realizes that this is a horrible way to end the post.]

The ice cream shop seems to have a tea flavour as well. I wonder if I can trust it.

[You're within a mile of the Communal? Inside the Communal? Awesome, you heard this. No matter where you are, no matter what you're doing. You heard it. Sure, you can hear the recording in the DEMISE network, but you heard this too, when it was recorded. Pretty much everyone within a mile radius of Casualty Communal did, in varying degrees of holy shit, my MY EARS pain and ringing ears.

Squalo found his voice, enjoy.]

cut OOCLY for brainbreakingly big letters. Font size = Volume, of course. )

[Squalo's enjoying the view from the Communal roof, if you're inclined to investigate the sudden scream.]
