[ As the screen focuses, the first thing that comes into view is someone's back--someone with a long, red braid and who appears to be wearing an apron. She's humming to herself.

Finally, she moves out of the way of the camera--which shows what was just beyond her: a giant mess. Earlier, it might have been a clean and orderly kitchen. But now it looks like a baking warzone.

White powder, likely flour, is almost literally everywhere, white dust settled on the counters, the cabinets, the fridge, the stove, the sink, and the floor. Huge bags of sugar lay opened on one counter, one completely depleted and another having fallen over and spilled. Five mixing bowls are scattered around the counters, each large and with spoons sticking out of them (two in some), their concoctions spilling out over the sides and the counters and even the globs on the floor. There are also a number of open boxes and packages laying about in disarray: chocolate chips, raisins, walnuts, oatmeal, and other packages that are unidentifiable from the camera's view. There's also a big pile of baking sheets, two of which have globs of... something mashed onto them. A mass of cute cookie cutters also lay in a heap nearby.

As Ahiru turns to face the camera and gestures toward the disaster, she might as well have been showing off a beautiful flower garden for the radiant, beaming smile lighting up her face. ]

Hello, everyone! I'm learning how to bake! I thought it would be great to make cookies for everyone and cheer people up! So I'm going to make the best cookies that I can!

[ She pumps a fist up with determination, still grinning happily. With her head slightly tilted, there's an obvious smudge of both flour and something that looks like chocolate on her jawline. ]

I'm making... uh... let's see... chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal raisin, sugar cookies, and... ginger bread cookies!

[ Her hands gesture to each of the messy bowls one by one as she names them off. ]

I hope there will be something that everyone will like! And hopefully I'll be done with them by today and be ready to hand them out tomorrow!

[ With that, she smiles once more at the camera, blue eyes alight. ]

Well! I better get back to work on these! Please look forward to them!

[ And with that, the feed is shut off. ]

[ ooc: ...Someone doesn't know how to bake at all. But she wanted to do something nice for everyone. XD;;; She figures that sweets might make people happy, so she ran with that. And she used her job money to buy all sorts of ingredients. The poor kitchen has suffered for it, though. As will Fakir. And sorry for my fail here lately. This is an attempt to get the muse fired up again. ]

Matt,

I wanted to talk to you about possible shifts at the restaurant. With everything that's happened recently, we haven't had a chance to discuss it. Thanks!

Guests of Shibusen, if I may have your attention!

We know that many of you have been waiting to hear the results of our search for the four people who went missing on the day of Asura's attack on the city and the accompanying Madness Wave. The missing four have been identified, as many of you will already know, as Miranda Lotto, Winry Rockbell, Yuuri Shibuya, and Yuu Kanda. They disappeared from Miranda's apartment shortly after the Madness Wave hit the city on 31 August.

Unfortunately, it is my duty to report to you that despite extensive searching both within the city and far beyond, we have not been able to locate them. Furthermore, on a suggestion from the guests, we have tried to identify their whereabouts by remote activating the GPS units on their communicators. However this has been to no avail. The signals from their communicators, unfortunately, cannot be located.

I know that this news will be frustrating to many of you, so let me recount for you what we do know now and what we think might have happened that day! The kind of man I was would not have left anyone in the lurch with questions about their comrades, so I will also answer whatever you'd like to ask about these events or our speculations!

You will no doubt remember that when the Madness Wave hit, many people experienced a resurgence of the abilities they have in their home worlds.

Of the missing, we have learned that two have abilities which might be able to explain the group's mysterious disappearance: Yuuri has an ability which allows him to travel between dimensions using water as his medium, while Miranda has skills with pausing and manipulating time through a specialized device called the Time Record which I have since recovered from her apartment.

It had also been proposed that the group was drawn into a malfunctioning television as Rise Kujikawa and Edward Elric had been. However we've not found any evidence to support this theory, since if being pulled into a television could have happened to just anyone we would certainly have seen more disappearances that day than just these four!

I must confirm that this was not an effect of BREW. The device shows no signs of having been active on the day in question, and this would not be the customary result of its workings anyway, since no possessions vanished along with the people themselves!

Hence our primary theories now that they are either in a dimension or a time other than our own.

Because Miranda's abilities with time are related to an item which Shibusen now has in our care, the next step will be to study and test that device to see if there is a way to induce it to return them again!

In the meantime, though, while they may be beyond our reach, please remember that all four of the missing are capable and resourceful people! We must trust that wherever they are, they are utilizing their skills and may well be working to make their own way back to Death City!
