[Video: ON. Have a tired/worn out looking Matt on the screen. The look on his face is that of him trying to appear professional as always to the network, but he looks troubled and maybe even a little nervous, and it shows clearly through his mask.]

Ah. [Ahem.]

For those of you that spoke with my ...my Shadow, I'd like to apologize for anything rude or hurtful it might have said. [He pauses there, like he's not sure where to go from there.]

Whether you continue to talk to me is your choice, I'll understand if you don't, really. Just- I meant what I said. I'm sorry.

[Pauses there a moment. Straightens up a bit.]

Um, so, we've gotten a lot of new-comers lately. Sorry that all of you got dropped here on such a dangerous day week. If any of you have any questions, I can do my best to help you out. I've been here for a while Almost the longest, aside a few others.

[The camera shakes just a little bit before it finally focuses upon the face of a certain spunky blond. There's a frown plastered on her face, and it looks as if she's walking forward from the way that the camera is moving--it's a bit unstable, but not from shaky hands. Witch's hat flopping about as she moves, she doesn't look at all pleased. She also looks to be carrying around some kind of broom with her in her off hand as well.]

It's been two days, and nobody has bothered to tell me what's going on. I know this isn't Gensokyo. Reimu's here which makes this place at least a bit tolerable even more annoying, and what's worse is that I can't use any of my magic. And no one will tell me why! My broom doesn't even work! And people tell me I can't even go outside to figure out what's wrong, since that shrine maiden is too lazy to figure it out. I guess that's a good thing in a way. Well, good for the poor sap who's causing this fog, at least.

[She stops walking, and the camera pans out a little, taking in a bit more of her form. She glares up at the screen.]

So? Somebody want to explain to me why we have to sit in here like wimps instead of fixing the problem ourselves?

My excuse while on hiatus is that she's battled had a catfight whined at emo'ed at spoken to her own shadow in private. Since she died fulfilling her purposes, she didn't really have much of a shadow to begin with. ]

[The video feed comes up steady and straight this time; Sara took his time going through all those rather informative links he was given, and he's always been a quick learner besides. He has a smile plastered across his face, sweet and innocent and threatening to slip into a smirk at any moment]

Yuuri -- you can see this, correct? I've been brought over to that communal building. Is there any chance that we could meet up~?

[The feed turns on to reveal the enigmatic Shinigami, who hasn't been seen on the network for a while. He's in his office in Shibusen, Stein and Spirit in the background. Finally, he clears his throat and begins to speak.]

Students and Allies of Shibusen:

You are all aware of the man named Tohru Adachi, who murdered and ate the souls of multiple people. [He pauses, briefly, to let people understand what this transmission is going to be about.] After being injured during the sandstorm, he began to eat even more in order to heal. He hid out in the sewers, and while his Meister ability severely restricted our movements, he continued to eat and grow. He became a Kishin.

Furthermore, while Adachi is a threat, the threat posed by the witches is worse: with the barrier no longer protecting the city, we are completely open to attack. Shibusen staff searched tirelessly, but it became obvious that all Death Scythes outside the bounds of Death City were dead. Evidence has proven that this was caused by Witches--and Death City was, at that moment, completely defenseless.

Protecting Death City and Shibusen is top priority. Shibusen staff has decided to use Adachi to recreate the barrier and keep the Witches at bay as long as possible. Adachi's growth is the cause of the strange weather and energy--and it's also what has been keeping the Witches away from Shibusen. Now that Adachi has been chased from the sewers, it's time we strike.

Shibusen has been outfitted with platforms and lattices. [The feed flickers and changes to a camera view from outside the school, showing the newly installed lattice work all around the building.] While wearing glasses to improve vision, everyone will be positioned on and around Shibusen, attacking Adachi from high up. He is large, and it is going to be a difficult battle. This is not the time for fears or insecurities. [The feed flickers back to Shinigami.] Once we have him at half strength, the battle will continue inside Shibusen.

Over the next few days we will be preparing for the fight. If you are not currently partnered, now is the time to do so. Unless you have wartime battle experience, unpartnered and/or inexperienced fighters will not be allowed to participate. Of course, those who do offer their help will be generously rewarded following the event.

More detailed attack plans will be forthcoming. Any questions about the information I have just related are to be directed to myself, Dr. Franken Stein, or our reigning Death Scythe.

[the communicator is a lovely piece of technology, what with its video, text, and audio capabilities. Too bad that two-thirds of those functions mean very little to a blind person ):

Hirohiko's wandering about outside with an umbrella, getting further and further away from the Casualty Communal. It makes him pleased that what would most likely be horrible, dry, unpleasant desert air is getting some moisture.
