I have completed my study of the message left by Adachi. Since he seems to have an unusual method of leaving messages, and Senpai seems to think that the squeamish would prefer to see this over the network rather than in person...

Something about preserving Souji-kun's dignity...

[Video clicks on, and there's a view of a stove. A nice sized pan is on one of the burners, cooking. For a moment it's unclear who's cooking until there are pancakes being flipped. Matthew hums something before speaking.]

Pancakes and the last of my syrup seems like an okay way to start the day. I should ask if Rise wants some.

I should see about ordering a case of syrup from home. I'll have to find a way to pay for it.

[A pause. Matt reaches now for the camera and looks into it. He looks tired, and it looks like he's making himself seem cheerful]

Hello everyone.


I... would like to apologize to anyone who I caused to worry. I would also like to thank everyone for their help. Since the... event, I have made a full recovery thanks to Miss Winry and her associates. As for my mental state, I have dealt with this type of pain before. It gets easier to deal with as time goes on.


I will admit to being more at ease knowing how Sakura met her end, even though I do not like to think of it. Her life was taken by Adachi's hands. He even described it to me- as a true fiend would. [...] She was to be my Meister. I do not think I will be fighting in the war, and instead will be staying here in Death City during it. I doubt Heine would let me fight anyway. For the people who go out to fight Adachi, and the witches, along with all of the other threats this world brings, I will support you until I cannot.
