[ it clicks onto begin recording a man's voice talking though it's muffled and barely heard. however, the Italian accent is clear and thick and he's speaking too quickly for it to be understandable anyways. the slight sound of rain is in the background. it shuts off after a few seconds. ]

[ about ten minutes later, it clicks onto video and the man's voice is suddenly given an identity, though it only has a good view of a rather broad male's chest adorned in strange white and red clothes. he's stopped talking but then he shakes the PDA and upon seeing himself being filmed, lifts it upwards so it's facing down on him and filming him from an aerial view. he's speaking and his voice is deep and again, clearly Italian, and also, clearly confused: ]

-- I get it. This is war. As strange as it is. They tell us all these things and yet, they will not even tell me how to use this magical little box?

[ he's shaking the camera now and bringing it down to his side, smashing buttons so it's making worrisome beeping noises ]

A bad dream. An insanely bad dream. That is what this is. I need to return immediately. I can't be --

[ and he accidentally turns it off. ): ]

[ and tone says that he's gonna drop the subject in five. ]

[once more, cutting in at 'an a--']

You have no place to speak. [pause.] This is as much an illusion for me as you.

[ fully irritated now ]

You could be an illusion too.

Do you honestly believe that?

Then you've brought me here for no reason.

-- What.

I've done nothing.

[now the note of agitation is creeping in.] If it's your illusion, it's your fault.

This isn't my fault. And if it were my illusion, it would cease. I would not waste my time dreaming up something as stupid as . . .

[ pause. daaaammittttt. ]

Someone must take responsibility.

For an illusion... You have nothing worth teaching.

Well, I won't. I didn't do this.

[ snort ] I should be thankful for that then, Signore. [ title said rather spitefully ]

S-- [stop.] I don't see why you would be.

[ scowl. and abruptly changing the subject ]

Who are you.

Asking without introducing yourself?

[ this agaaain. trying to control his temper. and clearly speaking through gritted teeth ]

[ insistent ] -- I'm not.

[abruptly, somewhat angry voice.] Then don't dress as such a jester.

[ HEY. and almost offended voice here ]

I dress like no such thing! My clothes are --

[ pause ]

You are in no position to judge my clothing. [ with a pause at the end that says he wants to add "assassin" ]
