[Video flips on for a few seconds before Germany curses and puts it to voice. You can see for a moment there that he's been beaten up a fair bit, like he's been on the losing end of a bar fight. Bruises on his face, one eye swollen shut, split lip, split skin on cheekbone, a welt under an eye, dried blood under his nose and ear. Not looking so handsome there! And mighty panicky, too.]

What is going on? Why is the church burning and where is my brother? Ungarn is also not in the Communal, as well as a number of others. How many shadows have infested the city? Italien and I have just run into ours, but they have been driven off.

My meister and I were running to Casualty Communal to check on some of the residents when my shadow and his ambushed us in a side road. My shadow was intent on harming me, and consistently threatened to end my life. It raised some issues he believed I had in myself-- which are true, I suppose, after a fashion. [denial again, but he knows inside so that's what counts, right?] After a discussion on my history as a country as well as my past actions and regrets, it seems it was able to leave in peace. As for Italien's shadow, Italien was able to accept its grievances with grace, and it, too, left. As you have seen, it was not without its pains. [I.e., everything motherfucking hurts atm.]

Yes, mine. [hnnngh] It was very... upset... with me. Yours seemed upset with us, also.

Yeah, I guess they're stronger than the people they come from then? Especially if.. you're a whole country. You should be able to do some damage.

[He's not entirely sure he understands, but he learned to accept things here. Like evil fog and sentient newspaper stands. And he's actually more visibly Italian, since the anime decided a half Italian guy needed a Japanese last name even though he grew up in Italy. And Gokudera is the surname.]

It isn't as though I have to search. It isn't hard to know where he is.

So there is technically no need for violence, if one is willing to admit one's faults.

Italien's shadow said so. Mine knew, but only encouraged Italien to say it.

It would also depend on the issue of the shadow with its original, I believe. Italien's was not as violent, only spiteful. And Japan's seems subdued. [referring to the thread in this post]
