Looks like the dude was put behind bars already. Glad to hear that. Anyway, I hope people are alright. Stripp-- you still around? Haven't heard from you in a while. D? You there? Or did you an' yer partner go somewhere? Maggie, too... damn, lotsa people I wanna keep tabs on.

And... uh... hey, Jade's friend, whoever you are-- I'm glad you found Jade. Sorry I didn't tell ya earlier. But I'm damn glad she's got a friend like you.

Um... Aurora, I'm sure yer alright. You didn't stay out when all the stuff was goin' on, yeah? Oh... um... if ya don't mind, wanna come along to that pResonance thing on Christmas eve?

[He beams at the feed for a moment before turning red and realizing that he didn't filter anything.]

Whoops.

[He abruptly cuts the feed off.]

Hey, don't worry 'bout me, okay? My meister ability, I think, kinda makes me live forever or somethin' like that. I can't go down easy.

But, y'know, I'm gonna get something for Neku-- y'know, one of the pResonance guys? He helped us out a bunch.

That's right. You have to take care of yourself, as well. [ she pauses a little, quite unsure of what she's about to say. Or how she should say it at least. ] And ... if you do need my help, I'm quite willing to learn. I understand you're worried because I'm a princess...

[ she smiles again then. ] I met Neku very briefly at one of the trainings. Perhaps I'll bring something as well.

Well, y'know, one day, maybe I should teach ya a thing or two about modern self-defense. There are gadgets girls can use to keep horrible people away. I bet it can help against Kishin Eggs, too.

I can't imagine you bein' a gunslinger like me, tho'. Maybe you'd be more comfortable with a sword or somethin'... but still. Doesn't suit ya to be on the offensive.

[He scratches the back of his head.]

No, guns and things don't really interest me. [ she looks down, mildly disappointed. she had only hoped to be of use somehow and not just the princess locked up in a tower, so to speak. ]

I just want to go home as soon as possible.

I'm not sure how to get home fast but, it's a hell lot better to know how to stay alive until that day comes. I wouldn't like your fiancee to lose a good girl like you.

[He beams at her.]

[she blushes a little.] I'm certain he wouldn't.

But I don't wish to be treated like a child either.

Well, I'll help ya learn, alright? I'll teach ya how to handle yourself in case you get in trouble 'n no one's around.

Well, um .. alright.

It's okay if you're uncomfortable with that, tho'...

No, it's alright. I .. only hope that you didn't partner with me only to keep me away from everything. If there was a weapon you truly wanted to use...

Naw. Hell, I don't wanna be that kind of person who locks people away from everythin'. I should be the opposite. It's just that-- Aurora-- this is a war. An' war's really different.

I'm just sayin' that.

But I want ya to learn, too, so you can do more around here-- so you got more freedom.

I may not know much but I do know that. It's not something I ever wanted to be exposed to, really. Unfortunately, I have been, so we can't change that.

I merely wanted to be certain. Because I know that you're a very good person, and you're only doing what you think is best. [ but there's that part of her that wants a little adventure for herself for once ]

But... you know... whaddya think of takin' a mission one time?

Well... perhaps when we find out what it is I do, it could be very helpful.
