Looks like the dude was put behind bars already. Glad to hear that. Anyway, I hope people are alright. Stripp-- you still around? Haven't heard from you in a while. D? You there? Or did you an' yer partner go somewhere? Maggie, too... damn, lotsa people I wanna keep tabs on.

And... uh... hey, Jade's friend, whoever you are-- I'm glad you found Jade. Sorry I didn't tell ya earlier. But I'm damn glad she's got a friend like you.

Um... Aurora, I'm sure yer alright. You didn't stay out when all the stuff was goin' on, yeah? Oh... um... if ya don't mind, wanna come along to that pResonance thing on Christmas eve?

[He beams at the feed for a moment before turning red and realizing that he didn't filter anything.]

[He abruptly cuts the feed off.]

Well, y'know, one day, maybe I should teach ya a thing or two about modern self-defense. There are gadgets girls can use to keep horrible people away. I bet it can help against Kishin Eggs, too.

Hey, I kinda beg to disagree with that, man. Tried to stop smokin' an' it didn't really work out for me-- so I went right back to the habit. Tried to shift to lights, tho'. But those are really for pansies.

Likely because the saying doesn't take into account the addictive nature of some habits, nor the profound effect that stress can have on a person's willpower. There are a large number of factors driving the problem.

I'm not sure how to get home fast but, it's a hell lot better to know how to stay alive until that day comes. I wouldn't like your fiancee to lose a good girl like you.

In many ways that's a correct assumption - I wish to be a doctor of the mind rather than the body, however.

You might not fare very well in extended conversation with me, than. I'm rather infamous for my penchant to pull Byzantine words from seemingly nowhere in order to insert them in otherwise normal conversation.
